05/05/10 SIMPLE TRUTH

05/05/10 SIMPLE TRUTH

People have been very kind through the years by complimenting me on my teaching ability, saying I make it easy to understand. Anything good in my ministry comes from God and any success I have in teaching is to His glory. But let's not forget the message I proclaim. It is easy to communicate because all I have to do is tell it like it is written. I don't explain it away or use high toned sophistry.

FOR INSTANCE...

* When the Bible says we should be and can be holy/pure/righteous, I preach it.

* When the Bible says we should and can obey/keep God's commandments, I preach it.

* When the Bible says sin separates us from God and God separates us from sin, I preach it.

* When the Bible says we are to love our enemy and be Peacemakers, rather than be violent, I preach it.

* When the Bible says Jesus is coming again, He will raise the dead, He will catch away the pure/spotless, I preach it.

* When the Bible says there will be a period of God's wrath on the earth, known as the Tribulation and there will be a One World Government, a One World Religion and a One World Economy, I preach it.

* When the Bible says Israel will return to God, I preach it.

And I preach it just as the Bible says it, and that is what makes it simple to understand.

I remember when there was a greater love for God's Word in our society. It was back when the unfathomable truths of God were presented in a simple (not simplistic) way, with conviction.

Remember...
It is not the vessel but the treasure that is of value. The wonder is not that anyone can communicate the truth of God, since God used a donkey, the wonder is that so few are teaching the truth.

2 Corinthians 4:5-7
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
