07/10/10 THE WHOLE WORK OF GOD

07/10/10 THE WHOLE WORK OF GOD

Praise the Lord... I watched fire strike in a heart as we discussed God's plan to purify the believer from all sin in an instant. Process is important, but no one is ever processed into purity, anymore than anyone is processed into regeneration. Dead one moment, alive the next, darkness one moment, light the next, lost one moment, saved the next; likewise, carnal one moment, delivered, purified, spiritual the next.

First Things First...
The garden does not flourish as long as the weeds are allowed to grow with the prized plants. The fruit of the Spirit cannot flourish as long as the corruption of the Old Man is allowed to abide in the heart of the believer.

We can be pure, even as He is pure. (1 Jn. 3:3)

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. (Mt. 5:8)

Something that is less than 100% pure is not pure.
Purification is purification from all sin; it is not deliverance from frailty or weakness or infirmity.
God will not abide in a heart that refuses to be totally surrendered to Him. Growth in grace requires us to be in grace, before we can grow.
