06/10/10 GOD'S PLAN
God gave us gifts, abilities, strengths, advantages and talents for the purpose of serving Him and ministering to other people THROUGH THE CHURCH, because The Church is His chosen and anointed plan to reach and teach the lost and the saved. When we do our own thing, we get the honor, when we do the "Church thing," God gets the glory. The Church picks up where we let off; the Church unifies, cliques divide.
People would rather do their own thing than do the Church thing because it is easier to call their own shots, set their own schedule, determine their own goals, and answer to no one.
God did not enable, empower and equip us to be lone wolves. He has called us to be a flock of sheep, moving in the same direction, in concert and providing a nurturing atmosphere.
This calls for a pastor who leads in wisdom and love, it also call for a congregation that follows joyfully, sacrificially and unwaveringly.
While it is true that the world is looking for a person who is sold out to God, when they find that person, he/she will also be fully dedicated to his/her local body of believers.
For those who say that you do not have a pastor or church, to which you can make that commitment, you need to find one, either where you live or move to where there is one.
People move for health, wealth, careers, recreation, education, family, friends, climate, terrain and a host of other reasons. THERE IS NO BETTER REASON TO CHOOSE A COMMUNITY THAN SPIRITUAL REASONS AND SERVICE TO GOD AND OTHER PEOPLE.
Once you find that church, discipline yourself to be the best servant you can be to the rest of the body and your community.
ALSO CONSIDER...
Nothing can reach a community and transform it like an on fire, Spirit filled/led church.
Why, you may ask?
Because that is the way God planned it.
