"Reject" is a harsh and definitive response, "ignore" or "neglect" are softer and "iffier," but they indicate the same response.
"Maybe" or "Later" is still a rejection but more palatable to us, but again, they indicate "rejection" at that time.
We do not have to do anything to go to hell, because we already did it, we sinned; but to go to heaven, we must turn to Christ.

No one goes to hell because of what Adam did, unless it was Adam, otherwise it would mean that all pre-born, newborn and infant children go to hell, which is preposterously unBiblical.
Whoever goes to hell goes because he has sinned. Other than little children, covered by the atoning work of Christ, the only ones who escape eternity in hell and go to live with God are those who believe on Jesus. Remember, the Bible says, and means what it says, when it says,
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
By sinning, we have done everything necessary to miss heaven; by dying and rising again physically, Christ has done everything necessary for us to miss hell, but He gives us a choice. He has enabled our free will with the power, authority to either choose to trust Him for our salvation or trust ourselves.
