06/18/10 THE WAY OF SUBMISSION
Do not allow yourself to be cheated out of the opportunity to be humble and submissive. If you stiffen your neck when your station in life or your situation calls for you to be humble and submissive, you will harden your heart and close your mind to God. Remember, Jesus humbled Himself. An incorrigible criminal is one who will not humble or submit. Arrogance Begets Resistance & Resistance Begets Alienation.
END RESULT OF RESISTANCE TO AUTHORITY...
Proverbs 29:1
1 He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
HUMILITY IS BETTER THAN ARROGANCE...
Proverbs 16:18-19
18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
PRIDE IS SHAMEFUL...
Proverbs 29:23
23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.
THE WAY UP, IS THE WAY DOWN...
Matthew 23:11-12
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
GOD ACCEPTS THE HUMBLE...
