04/26/10 REPEAT FOR FOLKS
Again with the BTW;
It is interesting that whenever a person who believes in sinning religion responds to my proclamation of Biblical Holiness they feel compelled to use words like, "sinless," "sinlessness," "perfection" and "sinless perfection." I don't blame them; it is easier to attack non-Biblical terms than Biblical terms. I, on the other hand very, very, very seldom use those terms, because I really like to be Biblical.
What I usually say, in reference to those who have saving faith and are in a victorious walk with Christ, is, "keep His commandments," "be ye perfect..." "sin not," "cannot sin," "(we are) pure, even as He is pure," "be ye holy, for I (God) am holy," "as many as are perfect," "he (believers) are righteous, even as He is righteous," "conformed to His (Christ's) image," "without holiness no man shall see the Lord," "he that despises (holiness), despises not man, but God Who has also given to us His Holy Spirit," "(believers) do the things that are pleasing to God," "saved from all sin," "cleansed from all unrighteousness," "walking in the light," "more than conquerors," "Christ always causes us to triumph," "greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world," "Christians overcome the wicked one," Christians overcome temptation," "Christians overcome the world, the flesh and the devil," "we are not in the flesh," "no condemnation to those who walk in the Spirit," "those who walk in love fulfill the law," "we keep the royal law," "we keep the law of liberty," "whoever sins is of the devil" and a long list of other Biblical truths. I would write more, but I have some things to do.
However, those who espouse sinning religion (the belief that God either cannot save us from sin in this present evil world or He will not save us from sin in this present evil world or He does not hold us accountable for sinning in this present evil world), will always offer human and demonic reason on why we cannot obey God. They are not only errant concerning Biblical terms, they have missed the whole point, which is, Christ came to save His people from their sins.
There is not much appreciation for old time religion any more. I am old school;
I heard it, read it, understood it, accepted it and held on to it for over 45 years.
It has blessed me kept me, strengthened me, led me, anointed me, comforted me and empowers me.
As the song says, God said I, I believe it and that settles it for me.
Though God's saying it.makes it true, it takes my believing it in order for me to be settled. And I am.
I learned about holiness of heart, the rapture/return of Christ, Christian Peacemaking, victorious living, Christ dying and rising for the whole world, and it sets me free and gives me great joy. My joy is complete when others find it and believe it too and I am disappointed when others don't get it or turn away from it.
I am simple, but I am sure that God's word is true, clear and easy to grasp. Not only am I sure, I am not ashamed of knowing the truth.
