04/12/10 CATHOLIC CONFUSION

04/12/10 CATHOLIC CONFUSION

Have you seen the Eucharist celebrated on Catholic TV? Catholicism says that the bread is the actual (not symbolic) body of Christ and the cup, wine is the actual (not symbolic) blood of Christ; R.C. says the Eucharist is the actual body, blood and divinity of Christ. They teach that the RC priest sacrifices Christ each time on the “altar." This is taking place 24/7 everyday.

GOD IS NOT BREAD AND WINE.

This is important, because they are not worshiping the God of the Bible and they are claiming to sacrifice Christ at every sacrifice of the mass. This is idolatry and is the reason the Roman religion killed untold numbers of believers in the past.

Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Also, notice the "monstrance," the sunburst, in which the wafer (their Christ) is carried about as an idol. Also, notice the little box or house that supposedly holds God.

Do not confuse this post with Catholic bashing, it is an honest comment on a pagan impersonation of Christ.

Roman Catholicism is not Christianity. They need the Christ of the Bible.

Someone apparently had a problem with something I said.

READ MY POST CAREFULLY
It addresses the false teachings of Romanism.

LIES ATTACHED TO ROMISH MASS OR EUCHARIST
Contrary to Rome...
1. The bread and wine in the mass is not the literal body, blood and deity of Christ.

2. No man, including a Romish priest, has the power to turn God into bread and wine or bread and wine into God.

3. Christ does not die whenever the mass is celebrated.

4. The table at the front of of the sanctuary is not an altar on which Christ is sacrificed, ever.

5. Christ died ONLY ONE TIME for the sins of the world.

JESUS MADE IT CLEAR
In John 6, Jesus used the bread and cup imagery to demonstrate our need to receive Him into our lives.
He did say that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood.
But don't miss this point:
He specifically asked them if His words offended them, and immediately said that His words are spirit, and that the flesh profits nothing.
We err if we think that Jesus was introducing actual cannibalism into the Christian faith. It is strictly a spiritual reality.

TRUE CHRISTIANITY IS SUBSTANCE, NOT SYMBOL

Christianity is not a religion or salvation based on liturgy, ritual or sacraments. When the New Testament speaks of believers being circumcised, it is in reference to the removal of sin from the heart, not the cutting of the flesh (Ro. 2:29; Ph. 3:3); the one baptism required is the Baptism of believers with the Holy Spirit, not the washing of the body with water (Ep. 4:5; Ti. 3:5); communion with God is experienced by spiritually feasting on Christ, not eating His physical flesh (Jn. 6:61-63).

We Are Saved By Faith In His Death And Resurrection, Not By Cutting Our Bodies, Washing Our Bodies With Water Or Ingesting Bread And Wine Into Our Bodies
