09/10/10 A WASTED ETERNITY

09/10/10 A WASTED ETERNITY

Thoughts on A WASTED ETERNITY. A wasted eternity stems from a wasted life, a wasted life springs from a wasted choice. A wasted eternity is an endless existence in a tormented forever. A wasted now becomes a wasted later becomes a wasted eternity. A wasted choice can be changed, a wasted life can be redeemed, a wasted eternity is lost forever. Choose ye this day...

PASSAGES...
CHOOSE YE THIS DAY...
Joshua 24:15

(15) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

NOW IS THE TIME...
2 Corinthians 6:2

(2) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

COME OUT FROM UNGODLY AND BE SEPARATE...
2 Corinthians 6:14-18

(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

ONLY PRESENT/ACTIVE FAITH OBTAINS SALVATION...
Hebrews 3:12-19

(12) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
(13) But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
(14) For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
(15) While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
(16) For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
(17) But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
(18) And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
(19) So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
