NO ONE ALLOWED TO ADD TO, TAKE FROM OR CHANGE GOD'S SALVATION. (Jude 3-4)
TRUE FAITH
1) There is only one (common) salvation for everyone.
2) There has always been a need to contend for this belief system.
3) God revealed His plan, which He gave only once.
FALSE TEACHERS
1) Satan's moles sneak into community of believers
2) Lacking godliness
3) Sinning and calling it grace
4) Denying Christ.
Jude 1:3-4
(3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
(4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is only one faith (belief system). Today, people erroneously think they can believe what they want to believe. We are to be of the same mind and think the same thoughts about God and His word.
Not only are there differences of beliefs between denominations, there are differences of beliefs between people in the same church. THIS OUGHT NOT TO BE.
Corruption of the message of God takes place when men ADD to the Bible, Take from the Bible and Change what the Bible says.
This is how we end up with a writer referring to God the Father as an African woman (The Shack). This is how we end up with popular leaders like Joel Osteen denying that all men must believe on Christ in order to be saved. This is how we end up with men like Bono, who claims Christ as Savior, yet uses the foulest of language. Also seen in preachers, like Mark Driscoll (the cussing preacher). Actually, Driscoll does more than use foul language, he blasphemes the word of God. Also seen in another popular Emergetn leader, Tony Jones, who said that the Bible is a F-ing scary book. This is how we end up with Politically Correct and Seeker Friendly and Relevant and Contemporary changes in the Bible. This is how we end up with people moving away from the gospel.
Our job is not to make the Bible of the Salvation Message palatable to the lost world, we are to bring the lost world to repentance and godliness, through the heart changing, life changing grace of God.
