12/07/10 WHEN A MOMENT DECIDES ETERNITY

12/07/10 WHEN A MOMENT DECIDES ETERNITY

A moment, a hair's breadth of time, a sudden choice, a careless decision, a brief misunderstanding, a fleeting word, an unintentional slight, or a meaningless tone, translates into a life of pain, loneliness, anger, suspicion, jealousy and/or resentment, when it is harbored and pampered, instead of being surrendered and abandoned in selfless forgiveness. A lifetime wasted because of pride.

THREE VIEWS...
1- The person who makes the momentary offense realizes his error (whether intentional or accidental) but refuses to ask forgiveness of offended party and/or God.

2- The person who was offended, whether it was actual or only perceived, whether they received an apology or not, refuses to truly forgive the other person and refuses to seek forgiveness and deliverance from their own bitterness.

3- A third party takes offense at either of the two principles involved and carries a grudge, regardless of how the two involved people deal with it.

Sadly, a number of people will suffer for a lifetime because of one person's narrow mindedness.

JESUS SAID, FORGIVE OR DON'T BE FORGIVEN...
Mark 11:25-26
(25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
(26) But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
