PASSAGES AND A FEW QUICK NOTES...

1 Corinthians 15:45-47
(45) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
DLG notes...
Paul referred to Genesis 2:7.
Adam, as a psycho/physical totality was comprised of body, soul and spirit.
Paul informs us that Jesus gives life.
Jesus is more that just a human being, He is Spirit.

(46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
DLG notes...
Likewise, the watery birth of John 3 is the natural birth and the New Birth the same as being Born of the Spirit. We are born twice; naturally, and then spiritually.

(47) The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
DLG notes...
Adam had his beginnings in the dust of the earth. Jesus has always occupied the throne of heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:20-24
(20) But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
DLG notes...
Christ rose physically from the dead. Jesus raised Himself. Jesus has life in Himself.

(21) For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
DLG notes...
Just as Adam led the human race into sin, death and destruction, the Last Adam leads a redeemed race into holiness, life and eternal order.

(22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
DLG notes...
Everyone is atoned for and that is why all preborn, newborn and infant children are part of the kingdom.
However, all men sin and therefore need to confess, believe and repent. Those who do are recipients of eternal life. Those who do not receive salvation are lost, but they will be raised for eternal judgment and separation from God.

In John 5:28-29 Jesus said there are two resurrections: The resurrection of the righteous (saved) and the resurrection of the unrighteous (unsaved)

(23) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
DLG notes...
In the First Resurrection (the resurrection of the righteous) there are three phases;
PHASE ONE- Firstfruits (Jesus and saints in Jerusalem),
PHASE TWO- At His coming. Phase two has two parts, rapture and return
Rapture (Harvest New Testament saints raised from dead at the time of Rapture),
Return, Gleanings (believers who died during Tribulation will be raised when Christ sets up His kingdom).

(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Finally, after the 1000 year reign of Christ, there will be the final rebellion and the end of this world as we know it. There will be the Great White Throne Judgment and then a New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem.
