10/06/10 WEDNESDAY STUDY... What Is In Your Hand?

10/06/10 WEDNESDAY STUDY... What Is In Your Hand?

God has given us natural blessings and spiritual gifts to share with a needy world.

Miss Emmaline (83 yr/old) smiles, sings and shares her blessing with others. We are stationed along life's way to share Water, Bread, Light, Guidance, Truth, Comfort, Healing, Spiritual Deliverance.

Stand your post. Which of the 4 kinds of ground are you?

Luke 8:11-15
(11) Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
(12) Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
(13) They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
(14) And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
(15) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

1. The Wayside never received, accepted, believed the word of God
DLG note...
This person never got saved and was never stationed along life's pathway.

2. The Stony ground received word of God with joy and believed for a while, but in time of testing and persecution fell away.
DLG note...
This person failed under the pressures of resistance and withdrew from service to God.

3. The Thorny ground got a good start, but over the long haul, they succumbed to the daily pressures of life, being choked out by the cares of this world. Sometimes legitimate needs are used to overthrow us.

4. The Good ground are those who receive the word and follow faithfully, reaching maturity and producing much fruit for Christ.

Do not abandon you post.
Do not be driven away by attackers.
Do not be drawn away by the lure of temporal gain.
Do not be lulled into uselessness.

Be the Good Ground, Stand your Ground.
