12/01/10 BEWARE WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES
* The whole world, including our own beloved part of it, is under control of Satan and does his bidding.
1 John 5:19
(19) And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
* Christians may vote for the man of their choice, but we must not give them our unrestrained devotion. If Christians do not require leaders to be righteous, who will?
1 Timothy 5:22
(22) Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
Psalms 101:7-8
(7) He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight.
(8) I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
* God requires righteousness from government leaders.
Proverbs 28:28
(28) When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
Proverbs 29:2
(2) When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.
