09/04/10 GOD WORKS THROUGH LOVING PEOPLE.

Sometimes, when one part of the body is weak, sickly or injured, it can be restored through the support of other parts of the body.

Sometimes when people are weak, sickly or injured, they can be restored through the loving support of other people.

Sometimes, when believers are weak, sickly or injured they can be restored through the loving support of other believers in the church.

Too often people allow the "circumstances of life" to determine the way they respond. Too often those in trouble suffer total loss because they do not have the support system they need.

Too often people listen to the "voices of reason" when they should be listening to the God of all hope.

Too often people are living by sight when they should be living by faith.

Too often people abandon the weak, sickly and injured because they are "beyond help" in this world, rather than looking unto Jesus, the beginning and end of our faith.

We need to be available and faithful to those who are in trouble.

We need to be the ones who bring others to the Great Physician.

We need to tear out the roof tiles, in order to bring our friends into the presence of Jesus.

We need to be the ones to remove the stone that has sealed their doom and we need to be the ones to loose the grave clothes and set them free.

The greatest works of God are the spiritual works of grace. But unhappily, there are few people who will be the faithful tools through which He will work.

We are co-laborers together with Him.

We are His feet, hands, voice.

We are His body.

Do not neglect or reject those who are in need.

Do to them and for them the things that you would want someone to do for you or for your loved one if the situation was reversed.
