05/17/10 THEY WILL NEVER SEE AMERICA
I am sorry America's children and youths have never been to America; the older adults who were raised in America (that excludes the President) but have forgotten the America that use to be; the foreigners who came to America, bringing their warped values and oppressive beliefs with them. I am sorry, BUT IT AIN'T MY FAULT. America was never perfect, but Oh, it was so much better than anything else in this world.
It is like people who want to move to a certain region of the country, because the locals are friendly, courteous, considerate and the lifestyle is easy, the social climate is inviting, the values are family friendly and the economy is not a dog eat dog environment; but then, after moving, they complain about everything in that region (including people, speech patterns, food, laws, wages, entertainment and school systems) and then they do everything they can to make that region like the uptight, snobbish, violent, self-centered region, from which they moved.
Ya know, it is so sad too, people do not always appreciate what they have until it is ruined or lost. We must treat every opportunity as a precious treasure and every person as the intended beneficiary of that treasure.
And, the greatest treasure is Christ in us. In fact, that is what made this nation and our beloved culture so special. It had sprung from a fountainhead of love and truth. God was so good to us, and He still is. We should respond with thanksgiving, while we can, as a nation.
