Doctrinal bias rejects Biblical Perfection.
Perfection is attainable; as in Major League Baseball (19 perfect games in history).
There have been many perfect games in bowling (though rare).
A perfect game does not imply a perfect season or career.
God's grace makes us Biblically perfect, rather than blind God to our sin. Perfect Love and a Perfect Heart are works of grace. yet sinning religion attacks those who believe in Biblical perfection.
Also, perfection in one area does not mean perfection in all other areas, yet when we speak of Biblical or Christian Perfection those with the bias want to fault us in some other area. They seem to have forgotten that we should not judge another man's servant and forgotten that it is God Who sets the standard for perfection of heart and love.
We are not talking about Absolute, Angelic or Adamic Perfection, yet that is where sinning religion always wants to go with this subject.
I am getting ready to post a NOTE on Biblical Perfection.
No Bible believer should have a problem with Biblical Perfection. It is doctrinal bias that causes Christians to be resistant to the idea of Christian Perfection.
Sinning religion actually attacks the Biblical revelation.
To say that I never pitched a perfect game, and therefore it is impossible to pitch a perfect game, is ludicrous. Yet this is the argument that sinning religion offers against Biblical holiness and perfection.
I am not defending those who fail at holiness, I am simply pointing out that the Doctrine of holiness is rejected and attacked because of doctrinal bias rather than Biblical reason.
It is not hard to find those who fail at holiness, but it is hard to find those who will declare Biblical holiness.
Remember, my point was that people reject the doctrine, even though it is Biblical.
God glories in holiness and so should we. Glorying in holiness is glorying in God. We do boast in the Lord and in His holiness. Certainly there is a difference in carnal boasting and righteous boasting. Holiness boasting is boasting in the Lord and His grace, not in ourselves.
