03/09/10 IT REALLY IS SIMPLE
It is not complicated. God gave man a free will. Adam sinned & corrupted the race but God mercifully provided salvation for everyone & He requires faithful obedience & then enables free choice. Isn't it odd; those who deny God's gift of free will, claim to be one of the unilaterally & unconditionally elect? Too bad for some, goody for them. What a convenient false doctrine.
(NAME) I asked you a question in a note, but I did not get your answer. Do you believe Jesus died for the sins of the whole world?
(NAME), I am not looking for an explanation or a long series of verses. I am not asking you what you think the Bible says, I am asking, DO YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD? Either YES or NO. My answer is a resounding YES, YES, YES.
Here is why it is important to know if a person believes Christ died for the whole world or not. If a person does not believe that Christ is the propitiation for the whole world, then that person's view and explanation of Scripture is not worth considering, because if they are wrong about something so obvious and so basic, they are not to be trusted with anything else they say concerning the word of God.
The Bible is clear concerning this truth, it is human invention, philosophy and interpretations that contradict the word of God by saying Christ did not die for the whole world.
We must understand, the denial that Christ died for the sins of the whole world is part of a wicked system of beliefs which must be rejected by those who believe the Bible. Such a warped view warps everything else about Biblical salvation.
I am unashamed in my beliefs concerning this and other truths. I do not couch my answers or try to overwhelm an argument with groups of verses, without actually being honest about the meaning of the passages themselves. Anyone can quote verses and pile up "experts." However, I just believe the Bible and accept it.
So, if a person does not believe in God, his arguments are empty and if a person does not believe that Christ died for the whole world, his arguments are also empty.
We have to have somewhere to start an honest and intelligent discussion and this is where this discussion starts.
I am away from my computer right now. But it is clear that you do not believe Christ died for the whole world. Y'all notice how hard it is for some folks to admit they don't believe the Bible. Again, if you choose man made (demonic) teachings over the word of God, no wonder you refer to experts in sinning religion and reference long lists of verses out of context and misrepresent my statements and twist the Arminian position.
Don't let wordiness confuse y'all.
JESUS IS THE PROPITIATION FOR THE WHOLE WORLD. 1 Jn.2:2
OK, I have tried to communicate this in the past and I will say it again.
My FB is not a forum for people to come in and promote their own ideologies. Neither do I post my views here so that others can correct them according to their own points of view.
More especially, this is not a place for a person to come in and speak against God, Christ, the Bible, the Church and Biblical doctrines of salvation. I use my FB to reach the lost and encourage the believer as well as fellowship with my friends.
I am not afraid of a legitimate discussion or a fair argument. However, I have said several times that my FB is not the place for such a thing, plus, I have yet to meet an atheist, cultist or Calvinist who will actually have a legitimate discussion or participate in a fair argument. For instance, duplicitous answers do not further a conversation, neither is it intellectually honest to reinterpret the Arminian point of view to a works righteousness, self worshiping and serving religion.
Listen, if you want to teach that wearing fried eggs on your head will bring you peace, that is your choice. I know it is not true, but I am not your policeman, and you don't want me to be your policeman anyway.
If I want to engage people in a real discussion I will contact them and I will actually listen to what they have to say and I will offer ideas for discussion, not as a bombardment. I will offer Scripture without referring to a cadre of so-called experts.
I don't have time to clean up every time someone wants to spew their prejudices and ignorance on my FB.
I am straight forward about this and I will probably lose FB friends. Kind of interesting, the grace I enjoy allows me to love others and let others say what they want to on their FB, but this door does not always swing both ways.
So, if this rubs you the wrong way, send me nasty grams, drop me from your FB, stick pins in your David L. Gould doll or whatever you want, but don't litter my FB with your errors. And, don't be surprised that I will not allow you to promote your false doctrines on my FB.
All is not lost, you can do the same with me and my teachings... oh, that's right, I am too polite to raid your space and act ungracious.
One more thought here; I will continue to proclaim the message of God's love for sinners and hatred for sin on my FB.
