We should be built upon the teaching of New Testament apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself as the Chief Corner Stone.

The work of God does not always fit the stereotype. In fact, the ministries on the front line are not only fought by the highly acclaimed gladiators of faith. Every believer is on the front line, but the front line is not always a glamorous place to be.
Sometimes the front line smells like unwashed street people or old booze or stale tobacco breath. Sometimes it is wrapped in poverty and anger. Sometimes it is the person you work with on a daily basis. Sometimes it is the person you meet on the street or at the store.

It takes special gifts to do street work or music or pastor or teacher, but everyone is gifted to do the work God calls them to do. Some are gifted with less exciting looking gifts, but essential all the same. Working behind the scenes for Christ is part of the ministry of a vital church, just like the limelight ministries.
We want to reach them as children and establish them in a relationship with God. We want to build them up as young people and hold on to them as young adults. We want them to remain faithful through their entire lives.
However, we also want to reach those who have gotten lost in the confusion of life; those who have lost family, health, home and lost their place in this world.
Find your gifts of the Spirit, produce the fruit of the Spirit and uses your gifts of the Spirit. This is the order. God wants spiritual people doing spiritual work.
