09/13/10 INSIGHT TO OUR FOUNDATION
Seaside Chapel is not liturgical or formal, but we are convinced and studious Bible believers. While we do not have a typical or printed form of worship, our services include the Biblical formula of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Exhortation and Dedication. Though we do not have Responsive Readings, sometimes I have people read passages publicly. Though we do not recite the Apostle's Creed, we believe it.
BOOKMARK BIBLE STUDIES...
I have printed a 4x6 note card with the Apostle's Creed in bold print and I have included Bible references for each point in the creed. This allows parishioners to use it as a bookmark, study guide and training/witnessing tool. I am going to encourage the parents in our church to teach their children the Apostle's Creed and to explain each part to their children.
Christian faith is under attack and everyone needs to know what the Bible teaches.
Jude 1:3-4
(3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
(4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have included this information in the following comment. It is on both the front and back of the 4x6.
THE POINTS ARE IN BOLDFACE.
