2/6/10 THE WORDS ARE TRUE, BUT THE POINT'S ASKEW

THE WORDS ARE TRUE, BUT THE POINT'S ASKEW
As is seen in the following passage, there are people who refer to a portion of Scripture or a spiritual idea, but they apply the passage or concept incorrectly. They speak with an air of authority and offer pious platitudes, usually as a judgment against those who disagree with them.

Luke 14:15
(15)  And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

Unless we understand the Scriptures and have a solid grasp on Biblical truth, we can be easily impressed and influenced by such a person. They live in a world of faulty understanding, but believe themselves to be right.
